I have become a lover of fashion. My style has evolved over time and I’m gradually growing into my own sense of personal style. I think as a mother, it’s so easy to wear Yoga pants and tie our hair up on top of our heads, thinking we don’t have time to take care of ourselves.
And, admittedly, as I type this, that’s how I look.
{Ahem}
But, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to look great. I personally do not want to lose my drive to feel and look great. So, with that goal in mind, I’m going to have a Mom’s a Fashionista Friday from time to time. And, perhaps we can make this a linky? Anyone want to join me in this fun?
So, without furthur adieu, if I had an unlimited budget, and time out and about on a beautiful day without a toddler to yank on my accessories, I might be wearing something like this….
I am a basics kind of gal when it comes to clothes. I have more jeans than I do any other type of pant. I love a good pair of skinnies or a sleek bootcut paired with fun heels. White, black, and navy make up the bulk of my tops. Let’s just say there are more than a few LBD’s in my closet.
I don’t go for outlandish patterns or trendy pieces when it comes to my clothing – I almost always stick with the basics. But where I do spice things up is with my accessories. Give me a great handbag, some bangles and awesome boots and I feel great.
What’s your personal style consist of?

Love the statement necklace. With my womanly hips, I am terrified of skinny jeans! But they look great on others. LOL I would link up with a Fashion Friday post. I post my outfits weekly now and show off my Goodwill ‘glamorous’ fashion finds.

Very cute. I love that ring.
I think Jo Lynne (Musings of a Housewife) has a Fashion Friday linkup if you want to check it out.

This is a super cute outfit! I’ve been wanting to revamp my style for a while now and love the strategy of keeping the clothing pieces basic and livening it up with accessories. I really need to get outside my style comfort zone and jazz it up a bit. With a tech startup in Colorado, it all jeans and t-shirts in my town. Doesn’t mean I can’t rock an awesome pair of skinnies and sweet necklace though. Thanks for the nudge! I see a closet makeover challenge coming in February.

My style is very much like yours. I like the basics, and then kick it up a notch with a great bag and shoes. I’m trying to do more with jewelry, but I tend to go back to the same few pieces over and over. I do hope you’ll join us!

If I could, I’d dress better too, but with at least one kid hanging off of me at all times, it is rarely worth it. I usually dress nicely when going out without them, once in a rare while.
I love that necklace and I’d wear it. I think simple is the way to go with clothes. I’ve never liked elaborate or gaudy clothes for daily wear; I feel uncomfortable with them. But accessories are great, and I like bead jewelry a lot. If I could afford it, I’d have a full shoe closet. Maybe some day.

You put my ‘style’ (if one could even call it that) to shame
When I’m not pregnant, I love jeans with cute, unusual tees. By unusual, I mean asymmetrical, or something with a pocket somewhere different, or with a tie knot in the middle etc. I always pair jeans with wedges (as I’m short!). I have phases with accessories – I went through a charm bracelet phase, then chunky ring phase, then necklace phrase. And since I’ve had my son, I don’t even wear any!
I do love the idea of your Mom’s a Fashionista Friday!

That is one hot momma look! I like to look good (okay, well, being 9 months pregnant has limited me)..but during the week, I tend to be a little more lax. Give me a couple months:)
