Life is a ton of fun when shared in lists. When I came across the books below…
I was inspired.
I was encouraged.
I was excited at the possibility of preserving another part of myself for my girls. Ultimately, that’s what this blog is about, showing a part of me to my little ladies. It will be a window into the life of their mother and I think that’s an important thing to leave around. A legacy of sorts.
So, I thought to myself, “I can totally write my life in lists, surely I have time for that!”
But, then I didn’t keep up with it, like many other things that are “hand written” these days because I type faster than I write. So, I default to writing on the blog instead of writing in journals and keepsake books that I adore and keep collecting in spite of my inability to keep up with them.
So, then I thought, why not have a regular feature on my blog where I write posts in a listable way. I’ve always enjoyed writing those types of posts and they seem to come pretty easily.
THEN I thought, why not make it a linky and we can do it together?!
So, here I am, asking you to join me in my new Tuesday feature – A Listable Life. It will replace my Talk to Me Tuesdays Meme which would bring readers but not the engagement I so enjoy from readers. It will have three topic starters to choose from each week – some may come from the above mentioned books, but most will come from a variety of sources, including suggestions by readers – YOU! Two of them will be focused on 10 things, while one will be focused on listing 5 things – for those weeks when time is short.
Each Tuesday, I will have my Listable Life post and at the end of that post, I will have the following week’s topic starters to choose from.
Here’s what you have to do to join in on the Listable Life fun.
1.) Pick a listable topic starter from below:
Option #1 10 Things I’d Rather Do Besides Chores
Option #2 10 Songs that Remind Me of My Youth (Think your Dad’s favorite rock song, your “Jam” from college that always got you moving on the dance floor, or your High School band obsession)
Option #3 5 Blog Posts I’m Proud Of.
2.) Write up your post, add my NEW Listable Life button to your post (pretty please?!) Have it ready to go live next Tuesday, January 17. The code is also in my sidebar.
3.) Link up and leave a comment to say hello!
4.) Share the love and visit at least one of your fellow linkers and comment on their post.
Don’t forget to “Like” me on Facebook (see widget in sidebar) or add me to your RSS or Email (above) so you can get notification that the prompts are up if you miss a week.
What do you think about this new Meme? Will you join me?
