Thankful Thanksgiving

by Nicole on November 26, 2013

Most days I feel like an epic failure as a mom. I know that I love my kids so very much, but I have so much on my plate, like many of us, that I am often reflecting on what I could have done better for my kids and how I missed the mark that day. But, yesterday, I was reminded that I need to stop being so damn hard on myself.

We all do.

Our kids see us. They see our efforts, they feel our love, and they are, deep down, getting more of the good from us than the bad.

I have proof.

We’re doing ok.

And, I am  SO Thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving my friends.

Reading Jordan’s writing made my mommy heart soar.

If I were you, I would race to Staples or Kinkos and have multiple copies made – one of which I’d put in a safety deposit box for safe keeping.

Have a very thankful & joyful Thanksgiving!

We are always our own worst criticis. But God see’s all and knows our Hearts. Our children and People’s lives we Encounter along our pathway is where God see’s our hands at work. Thank you God for Leading us and giving us Direction so we can do what you have called us to do. Keep up the Great work you do for your kids and the Ministry for the Lord Changing People’s Lives. That us something wonderful to be aThankful for

I agree, we really are our own worst critics. It’s tough not to be sometimes :-)

I agree, I think I’m going to make copies and carry them in my purse. Reading her writing here was so needed. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

So very true! There are many times I’m often thinking that things aren’t going so well, and then I see something my kids write to me or say to be that is super genuine and I realize it’s all going to be all right!

It’s so nice to have a little peek into their hearts with things like this. It makes all the difference in the world doesn’t it?
